The Student Ministry of First Bible Church We exist to glorify God by helping students know, love, obey and exalt Jesus Christ. Specifically, we aim to help parents build students into witnesses for Him as commanded in Acts 1:8. We look for our students to be witnesses for the Lord here in Decatur, the United States, and to the ends of the earth.
We seek to do this by providing friendly environments and relevant, biblical teaching through which students can develop a personal relationship with the Lord so that they might live to glorify Him. Our dream is to help students integrate God into every area of their lives and to make Him famous by delighting in Him and His plan for their future.
Sunday Mornings We have large group teaching accompanied by small group times for both middle school and high school students, which are led by excellent adult leaders. (Second Floor of the South West Wing. During the 9:15 hour.)
Please note: Classes do not meet during the month of July.
Wednesday Nights We have one:eight beginning with a mealtime and fellowship at 6:00. At 6:30 the student praise band leads worship followed by a message designed specifically for students. High school meets together in the Field House (gym located on the north-east corner). Middle school meets on the second floor of the South West Wing. During the Summer months we change things up a bit. For summer schedule of events contact Alexander or check out the FBC “one-eight” facebook page.
Sunday Nights At 5:15 p.m., we have a ministry for middle school students called TREK. This ministry emphasizes scripture memorization and worldview development. During the Summer months we change things up a bit. For summer schedule of events contact Alexander.
Sunday Mornings at 9:15 a.m. we offer teaching for both middle school and high school students.
If you have questions about our student ministry or are interested in being involved contact Alexander Roberts.
…And More! We also provide frequent opportunities for students such as retreats, camps, mission trips, Bible studies, hang times, and service opportunities. Through these events the students can grow closer together, but more importantly grow closer to God.
